* I watched the pre-Carolina primary Debate. It was honestly too much of men bellowing over each other for me, and rather like lasts weeks only less well moderated and thus more boring and shouty.

Impressions: Bloomberg was slightly better prepared instead of being a fish in a barrel, but still incredibly weak. The things wrong with his policies are exhausting to contemplate. Biden and Bernie came out about even in my mind with the hits and attacks, in the early portion, but over all Bernie was significantly stronger.. (I really don't want either of them, but I'll pick Bernie over Biden in a heartbeat). Klobacher and Warren were basically on their talking points, but Warren went hard on Bloomberg's record. Buttigeig was also present.

Go awaaaaaaay, Tom Steyer. Please? You don't understand how governments work nearly well enough for this. We already have a privileged person with no real idea of the mechanics of government in the white house dismantling essential things. Right now? We need someone with both good ideas and a practical working knowledge of how legislative sausage got made because they are going to have a massive amount of mess to fix. Bloomberg's policies (previous and current) were/are way worse, but at minimum, he's got actual experience with sausage making. Again? I emphatically hoping neither of them wins, but I'll vote for whoever the fuck gets the nomination.

The mammals I live with out did themselves on the mess making. I've been cleaning and cleaning and picking glass out of my feet and cleaning. In Squirrel's defense he really tried to clean it too before I woke up. Working out what happened was an entire investigative process. I stumble into my bathroom half asleep. Go to wash my hand after and there is a mysterious brownish fluid dried in my sink. It looked splashed, but Tavy pees in that sink and I have the horror of a cat peeing blood and dying on me, so I went to ask Squirrel if he'd dumped something in my sink in case, you know, he hadn't. Remember, still barely awake, so not at my brightest.

Squirrel: When I got home there was a foul smelling brown liquid everywhere! Me: ...!

So I am now thinking, sewer line back up? But surely I'd smell that. I am now running through lists of things I need to do if sewage was coming up from a drain, even as some other bit of my brain is like. Doesn't add up.

I'm naked, Squirrel wants to "show me something" in the vicinity of the kitchen. I limp to my bathroom where the bathrobes are. The smell hits me exactly as I spot several more clues. It was weirdly like one of those clue montages at the end of movie. Squirrel is still trying to explain. Me: It was an unopened bottle of balsamic vinegar. Him: Are you sure? Me: Oh, I am sure.

So apparently he did try to clean up the shattered bottle, but he's not a noticer and glass shards and hidden puddles are everywhere and I keep finding places it splashed or he touched or dripped. To clean it properly, I need to empty and move the storage shelves to clean under them and possibly empty the hall closet. Tonight I focused on glass shards, splashes, cleaning the broom which was saturated, and fighting the floor stickiness, by cleaning it over and over since the cats and I HATE sticky floor.

I've cleaned the floor four times. It's not even close to okay.

I want to be clear that he for real did his best, and waking to a mystery was better than me stumbling into a partially dried balsamic lake. It's just a LOT.

I think he thought I might be angry or upset, but I was like: A bottle is replaceable; a cat isn't. Him: ?

I'm not all that articulate barely awake. Apparently the maybe a cat is dying or sewage eruption? All in my head. I for real was just trying to find out WTF, not assign blame. I questioned him gentle, like I would with a panicky Middle schooler, since I'd been having a teaching dream, but still. I feel bad for him.

I'm going to have to do the floor twice more before bed, but Livia just informed me it's clean enough for her to use her favorite liter box, so that's one worry sorted. From the sound that was her 'just peed' ritual, so she's fine and not so freaked out by smell and lingering sticky that she won't go in there.
