Paula Deen - Older Southern Woman, white hair, somewhat heavy set. Has gotten in a bunch of trouble for being racist. (Like actual court cases about her being racist.) Has a tendency to add a pound of butter to everything. (One of her sons actually has a cooking show specifically devoted to taking her recipes and making them healthier.)
Rachel Ray - Former cheerleader. Sweet, but waaaaay too perky. Brown hair. Very cute. Calls herself a cook, not a chef. Loves extra virgin olive oil which she refers to as 'EVOO' (ee-vee-oh-oh). Most famous for her first show which was 30-minute meals, so all about putting dinner on the table in 30 minutes or less.
So there's like a generation difference between them, they cook totally different styles of food, generally, and they look and sound completely different. Also, so far as I know, Rachel Ray has never been sued for racial discrimination nor caught on camera saying racist epithets.

I feel bad about mixing them up. I my defense, I am super bad at names, especially when I entirely lack visual context, as I do for Rachel Ray, and am bad at celebrities generally even if I had seen them. I occasionally forget Swinton, Emma Thompson, and Kate Bblanchett are separate people even though I KNOW better. It also took me years to figure out Chaning Tatum, that guy who plays Star Lord, and whatisface Hunnan are separate people and I still differentiate Hunnan as the Channing Tatum with the lips as opposed to the one without. Like, I am bad at Celebrities.
