* There was nothing for it but to stay up. It took a while to arrange as they tried to nudge me into using another company, but it was twice the price. It turned out he was hesitating because there was construction starting in the afternoon that required them to vacate the premises until Monday. This is not a problem as I hardly leave the house. We'll jump and drop the car off so they can work on it next Monday.

HOA's form letter gave no clue as to what they want done beyond it having something to do with the patio, and as they hadn't objected to these same things for literally years, I had to call them do get clarification. Them: It's not organized enough. Me: What do you mean by organized? It is organized to take bet advantage of the sun. If I don't know what you specifically mean by organized, how will I know if I'm in compliance or not. Her: ...

This required us to wait until the manager for this property turned up for work. At the best of times they have truncated business hours. These days they are also staggered for safety. When they called back it sounded like they were objecting to me having the potting soil bag and a trowel out because I'd been gardening? Also it didn't look quite net enough. IDK.

So I went out and hoisted the soil up onto the shelf behind the tomatoes and lettuce. It's heavy af and it's hard for my fucked up shoulder to manage, hence me normally tucking it under the air conditioner so I can just scoop out what I need instead of it being a major production. It's that or move it inside, which I'm loathe to do because d'uh. I put the trowel away and tucked up the planter bottom trays I also had under the air conditioner behind the potting soil because I'd been switching planters around after the windstorm. I decided "unorganized" may mean that they don't like the way the seeding phase of the year round greens, because they sprawl rather at that stage. I turned the two pots with heavily pregnant plants so they stick out less, and gave everything yet another sweep, since I was in damage control mode after the windstorm, and just trying to solve the big problems. I hope this suffices. It would really the fck help if they said what they mean. My first battle with them was because they said "neutral" in the directions when they meant white and it took a very long interrogation to discover what they meant since they didn't want to say white. Idk.

It was far too late to go to bed before groceries came, so I did dishes and a variety of other things needing doing, including a litter box full change. at which point I discovered that someone had clearly accidentally peed over the side. I really do think it was an accident. It was the box I got when Livia was an invalid and in real danger of dying so I wanted to make it as easy as possible for her to make it in there when she was having an emergency. It's an open box and low in the front. I think someone had their face pointed towards the high back end and misjudged the rim. I think this explains the small poop I found the day before that looked like it might have been kicked out.

I still have the puppy pads I purchased when Tavy was having the confusion where he thought the exposed foundation was a litterbox. (I solved it by putting a puppy pad down to cover where the litterbox couldn't, because scrubbing the foundation multiple times a day was beyond my strength. The pads are expensive, but I already have them, so after I cleaned up, I put one down under the box with the extra out front. It was lucky I did, because someone made a massive mistake while I was asleep. I guess this is what we are doing now until I work out another solution. I can't get rid of the box as it dramatically cuts down on Tavy peeing on the sofa. I can't replace the box with another extra large high side covered one: they are expensive, and I have been spending way too much on food out of pocket because the EBT issue, plus the battery replacement, which is about to gobble this months cat food and litter money(I have a cushion as I bought extra with the relief money, so I think we are okay), plus I don't feel safe going to Pet Stop even if they are open because Covid. Sigh. So for now, puppy pads while I think it through. I really do suspect Livia is the one making mistakes. She's really big and the box is small and she still occasionally misjudges where her butt and tail are in relation to her head and other objects.

Anyway I had good fresh vegetables with dinner tonight and my larder is full.
