* Today among other useful things I finished the Great Rough Sort and Consolidation of the Tal Memorial comic collection. I'm not convinced there isn't a lost box of comics somewhere, but I don't have it in me to look. I was helped greatly by Tavy sleeping through most of it in my bedroom, though alas, he turned up during my meal break and decided to Get Involved. Sigh. No permanent damage was done, though he managed to terrify Livia who was peacefully poking around the windowsill, Poor Sweetie Girl. Her idea of helping is to hang out in the vicinity for company, not take flying leaps onto piles of slippery bagged comics sending them and oneself sliding everywhere, then darting around panicking for maximum chaos. I still need to sample the limited runs I haven't got to yet to see if they are staying or going, go through everything again in case of misfiles, and fine sort into numerical order. Literally decades of comics. Then find someone willing to help me take the boxes I don't want Downtown and someone to help me take most of the rest back upstairs, dismantle the storage stacks, sort Those One more Time, and put everything back properly. *shudder* I need it to be over soon so I will have room for Gothmas decorating come September. I am not sanguine it will all be done even close to then. Still, I feel really accomplished and I'm not sharing the sofa with project segments anymore and a got a useful chunk of table back.
