Jeff Flake, Susan Collins, and Lisa Murkowski remain the best bets, so please keep the pressure on them! Flake and Murkowski have joined the Democrats in demanding an FBI Background check, and the FBI now has a week to investigate the allegations, so there is still time to make your voice heard!

* We had a power outage 11ish PM Sunday-1ish AM Monday. It hit a huge section of town, so they actually sorted it much quicker than they usually bother to, but it was very bad timing. I was at my desk, and i strongly suspect I was the first in my complex to light a candle. I went on the patio and watched other night owls light theirs nd come out on our balcony. We waved lights and exchanged greetings. I soon had lent Squirrel a candle and settled in for what work i could still do. It hit while I was just starting Monday's aesthetic programing, so I didn't have many articles awake. When i finished them, I had a bath while the water was hot, then carefully migrated the candles to my bedroom. I was a few pages in to the Swan of Avon when Squirrel came back from his reconnoiter to tell me the extent. About a page later the lights came back on. something has gone wrong with one of the fish filters, which I've decided is tomorrow's problem. The cats were deeply confused by the whole thing as the humans were not doing the usual things and had mysteriously made it full on night in the cat asylum for no reason they could figure, but weren't even a little distressed.

I didn't get nearly as much done as I'd hoped.
