* ...An 45 just admitted today that he fired Comey for investigating the Russia espionage/corruption/treason thing. You know, like everyone assumed. A spokesperson even said they specifically got rid of him to put an end to the investigation.

* I don't understand why it's not illegal to sell a green card to foreign nationals in exchange for private "investment" in a family business. "Kushner family impropriety:"

I do not understand how someone can be considered competent to make law on anything, but especially health care, if they believe that a single trip to an emergency room will kill cancer and therefore the ethical thing to do is prevent people getting cancer treatments and give that money to billionaires instead. Because that is what Raul Labrador’s arguing here. He is saying no one needs pre-natal care, or insulin, or oxygen machines, or heart medication because all fatal illnesses can be cured by one trip to the emergency room so no one actually needs health insurance.
If he is sincere, and he certainly seems to be because he keeps defending his point, he needs to be removed from office before he can do more harm to the people he is personally trying to kill with his power of a lawmaker. If he is lying... I can’t honestly think of a reason one would tell a lie so ridiculously obvious that every person over the age of seven or so in the country knows is not true and is so incredibly cruel in the bargain. It would be like saying jumping suddenly in front of trucks going full speed on the freeway is completely safe and expecting anyone over three to believe it or insisting that standing in the rain will not get one wet.
Similarly Majority Whip Steve Scalise insists that charging one person five times more than another person means they are paying the exact same amount. I bet if I showed a class of kindergartners 1 marshmallow in one hand and five marshmallows ion the other, they would be able to tell me the five marshmallows are more than the one, and those kids aren't even concrete operational thinkers yet. Why is he trusted to vote on any bill having to do with numbers if he knows less about math than a five year old? I have to wonder how he can manage a checkbook if he can't count to ten, let alone understand things like the national budget or how to restructure 17% of the American Economy. Again, I honestly don't understand how a grown man can get to congress without learning primary school math, though I suppose it does explain Republican economic policies in general since they have been arguing since Reagan that subtraction is the same as addition and therefore if we just take away the taxes the rich pay to the government this will magically increase tax revenue instead of shrinking it as actually happens in the real world and has every time they tried it. It also explains why they insist that if we just take away health care from 24 million working Americans it will give them more coverage, if we dramatically increase premiums it will shrink them, and if we deny people coverage for things like ambulances, preventative care, etc. somehow that is better coverage than letting people continue to have them.

* So what happened to me this week? I am getting poor quality sleep because the latest infection and my allergies to pretty much the whole outdoors are ganging up on me. Add on a collection of RL and online commitments and I am exhausted and often busy and/or too tired to do a lot of the usual content type things. It's likely going to be sporadically a mess for the rest of this month with RL commitments to locals and the lizard lion festival coming up on line. Bonus points for me losing connectivity late Wednesday early Thursday. Anyway, life happens and I am human, so my apologies in advance for any interruption of service on my end.
